Not to downplay the dramatic fashion in which Kaner scored the game winning goal once again in overtime, but, let’s face it, the Wings were terrible for the first fifty-five minutes of that game. They do not have that luxury tonight. Many thanks to James Reimer for getting us into overtime, and then some.
The Capitals are coming in hot after a win last night. The Wings had better be well prepared, as the Caps are playing to stay within striking distance of a Wild Card spot. There is really no margin for error in the Eastern Conference, in either division.

They played really well at EDM for the first two periods then swirled down the toilet in the 3rd, although the stats were the same for us in the 2nd as they were for EDM in the third. So, we out CORSI'd, out FENWICK'd, out Scoring Chances, and out HDSCF'd but still got drubbed 8-4. We don't need to do that again!

I'm kind of amazed that Larkin is getting very few points with so many points getting spread around. Kane and D'Cat have been putting up the numbers on Larkin's line but Larkin gets Bupkis.
Maybe temporarily so, but hes got 51 in 52 games incl some huge ones. Its ok with me if we get 5 goals and larkin zero because the other team is weighting coverage on him.
