For the last eleven days a KK Donation has been underway. Some of the regular KKA2Y members have continued to support the site with a few donations of over $100 and a few of the rest have made a donation of whatever they can afford. But the volume of donations is way down, forcing me to think perhaps the shelf life may be reaching the end of KK/A2Y.
I certainly do not want this to end but it has come to the point of at least questioning the future of KK/A2Y. Whatever decision I make, I guarantee you KK will be around all the way through the Stanley Cup Final, but 'I don't even want to think about it' at this point.
I know now I bit off more than I could chew with the upgrade, which basically became an almost complete rebuild, a lot more cash was spent that I had imagined. I also know I am going on my 20th year of 'doing what I do' and maybe I am doing something wrong?
Ask yourself, would you miss visiting KK on a regular basis? If the answer is yes, please donate if you can. Any amount will help.
I don't want to paint a blurry picture, I don't want your sympathy, the only thing I want is your understanding. I still have faith in the hockey community and hope you have faith in me.
To donate: (direct links to PayPal or GoFundMe or Zelle, (the email address to use with Zelle is kuklaskorner at gmail dot com). I am no longer using venmo.
KK members who have donated in the past will get the majority of ads removed for a year for $20, non-members will get the ads removed for $25. Make sure to register as a member too.
I planned to do a KK Donation Drive about two weeks ago, then I was hit with a bug I've never experienced before. To make this short, I am back in action with no relapses going on, a day and a half of good health.
I could use some help monetarily wise. Ad revenue is way down, a sign of the times, as is direct advertising.
Any help is appreciated.

It's a special day here in the USA where thoughts turn to a cajun deep fried turkey, homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes with sour cream and chives plus pumpkin pie and a crumb apple pie to top it off.
I plan to take it very easy today and hope to enjoy a Detroit Lions win. Tonight my attention will turn to The Game in Ann Arbor on Saturday.
To the KK members, lurkers and guests, have a great day with family and friends. We have a lot to be thankful for.
It begins near sunset tonight and ends at nightfall tomorrow.
from CNN,
Jews around the world are to face their misdeeds and sins over the year through worship and prayer so that they may atone for their wrongdoings. With fear and wonder in facing God’s judgment, Jews seek forgiveness. In doing so, people are called to self-reflect on their failings and flaws.
No matter how you spend the day, it’s a time to atone in your own way, whether in a synagogue or at home. Synagogues hold religious services throughout the day for practicing Jews to come pray introspectively, either asking for forgiveness or expressing regret of sins committed in the past year. Once you atone, it’s thought to be starting the Jewish new year with a “clean slate,” absolved of past transgressions.
According to tradition and lore, the origins of Yom Kippur can be traced to Moses’ leading the ancient Israelites out of slavery, as described in the book of Exodus. He led them to Mount Sinai, where Moses himself went up the mountain to receive the Ten Commandments from God. Upon returning with the tablets, he found that his people were worshiping a false idol, a Golden Calf. Moses destroyed the tablets in anger, but the people atoned for their sin, so God forgave them.
I am off to see my ophthalmologist to receive a shot in my eye which should help clear up some liquid behind my retina, which has caused blurry vision.
I have no idea how long I will be gone or any down time but I will update/post when able to do so.
update 11:50am, Back home, the procedure was painless thanks to eye numbing drops. Will have to take it a bit easy today.
Look for some changes and tweaks in the next few months to KK/A2Y.
Coming on board is a new developer who will take a good look at the performance of the site, fix a few problems which still exist since KK 2.0 and also make a few recommendations. A possible switch to a new host will be looked at too. Getting KK up to my standards will be priority #1.
I am meeting with the new group later today and I will keep you posted as we progress.
I am not saying all the items listed below will be changed/fixed but they will be discussed.
update 4/7/23 at 1:17am, It has been a different donation drive. A relatively slow stream of donations but steady continues to come in. In the past, usually after 2-3 days donations stop, but we are closing in on day 4 and donations continue. I will leave this for a few more days.
It has been an okay season for me which includes my health status plus the upgrade to KK 2.0.
I am getting my health taken care of and the upgrade has stabilized and over the summer more goodies will be added for you the KK member and the lurker too.
Ad revenue has been down, way down then what I expected and could use some help.
You know the routine...

Thanks to all and I am looking forward to playoff coverage, the first round may be one for the ages.
The last few weeks I've been laying low and dealing with health issues again. In and out and in again of emergency rooms and hospitals is not what I planned for but I am dealing with this as best as I can. Yes I am growing very tired of this but refuse to give in to this disease.
I've been experiencing stomach issues and now have been diagnosed with diabetic macular edema (DME). Basically fluid builds up behind the retina causing blurred vision. I am meeting with an eye specialist on April 10th and will know the course of action then.
I'm tired, drained and just want to feel better. Please keep me in your thoughts.
