Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
from Kevin Allen of Detroit Hockey Now,
The Red Wings signed Ontario native Luff this offseason. He played last season for the Nashville Predators and their AHL affiliate in Milwaukee. He scored 14 goals and 31 points in 30 games for the Milwaukee Admirals. Luff managed three goals and six points in 23 games for the Predators
The 6-foot-2, 200 pound forward previously played 64 games over three seasons with the Los Angeles Kings. He totaled 10 goals wearing a Kings jersey.
more on Luft who has 3g 4a for the GRG this season.
So back in the day, calling up a stop gap AHL vet for a couple of practices, maybe a few game minutes, and a cup of coffee over a prospect would be disheartening, I guess reliance on stop gap vets are just what we've come to expect in the Yzerlonde era? ho hum nothing to see here...
Luff is probably more useful than 11......
