The excuse was that he was out injured, well, he is back and they look as listless with him back as they did without.
Larkin doesn't play that soft very often. He's either still hurt or he's got that flu, or both.
I think he is not fully healthy

This team has a lot of issues, and they've had them since free agency opened up last summer. It's not Larkin's fault, nor his responsibility.

Steve Yzerman has work to do. I hope he begins to change the older Vet D guys going forward.
What an utter insult to loyal Red Wing fans. There had better be changes made after the season. They've shown that they are not ready for the playoffs. I'd rather lose with the kids than put up with this vet laden roster. Just my two cents.

I really hate to be a "revisionist"... but if SY and the "decision makers" knew that 70% of the players were gonna meekly wilt away.... as the "once promising" season was allowed to dissolve into a pointless quagmire, maybe they could've looked at the situation realistically and made the tough decision to be "Sellers" at the deadline ??!!
Can you imagine what Stevie could've got for Kaner ?? .....and he potentially could've got a "haul" for a few of the other players with "perceived value" too ?? He could've received a frikkin' fabulous return !!

First of all, We don't know what agreement they have with Kane and trading him at the TDL.
Secondly, even superstars coming off that type of surgery have very limited trade value.
And lastly, the UFAs they have other than Kane have no trade value or very small value at all
Kane has a full NTC. He doesn't have to go anywhere he doesn't want to go, and he already picked Detroit. He wasn't going to wave it.
the reality is they had a reasonable shot at making some noise when they had the 1st WC spot. now, 2WC sure looks like their best case scenario. does anyone see them winning a first round even if they do make it? justmeh. i never understood adding chiarot, holl, or petry.

Cant see any of those vets as good mentors for Mo,Big Ed, or Johansson. Lids had Mc crimmon. Must look into this in the off season.
