Really timely goaltending kept them in the game long enough to capitalize a quick bang bang goal.  Great board work on the penalty kill running off 25 or 30 seconds it seems.

Sweet Sassy Molassey Carolina has some 57 shots against TBs 25, but going to shoot out.

I thought Copp's best game was against Minnesota but he was solid here tonight. Starting to get his feet under him.

Nice to have Ras back, he is a silent force. Husso had some good stops and looked comfortable.

Good game plan by the coaching staff and admirable execution by the players. 

Suter had another solid game. No fireworks just practical, subtle plays. 

Lets go Redwings!

Obviously a win is better than any loss, but last night didn't seem good enough. The Caps roster is devastated by injury- far worse than the Wings, but we couldn't really get anything going until the 3rd period, and that was sporadic. It's difficult to quantify, but the guys didn't seem to have any fire/ rhythm last night and it bugged me the whole game.

I'd really like to see the Treesome line back together again, which might realign the other lines too....

The field is starting to separate, and there are finally signs that new winners are rising in the East, especially NJ and Buffalo. The DRW could be in that category too, but they need to do better.....
