Can confirm that Vrana will be called up to the Red Wings - expect that he’ll play this week. A roster spot will need to be made available. #LGRW

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
Well isn't that interesting, the same account that said they had a source with knowledge that told them he would never wear a wings jersey again...
That was a retweet. They didn't make the claim themselves.
Yeah, as i clarified yesterday:

Nah, big WWP fan. Was referring to Pagnotta/@TheFourthPeriod that had made the claim last week. Ryan also said in the twitter thread that he indpendently verifed it (possibly through Max?).
Depending on how you look at it, they are never wrong or never right, depending on how you look at it. Notice, I avoid RTing them most of the time.
Just reinforces the fact that when it comes to this org, it's probably best to be skeptical unless the words are coming out of Steve's mouth.
haha I was thinking the same exact thing.
Conroy is the beat writer for the Boston Herald,
If true, could it be a sign the Raymond's injury is more serious? I don't think they'd send down any of the forwards so perhaps they'll carry 7 defensemen and waive Hagg?
Not necessarily. He could still need more time to rest up and there's no need to rush him and they can activate Vrana and see how he's doing.
I bet it's more roster management than anything.
Could this mean someone else is on their way out?
You can read it as a playoff push or show casing for a trade. We shall see.
It could be both
Yeah I think it's an either or. They see what Vrana is doing and if he can help get them into a playoff spot and if not, Ray rested and Vrana got to show what he can do to either SY or potential suitors.
Best to Vrana. My take is they shouldn’t want him helping them win games because of the draft, but leaving him in GR serves nobody if they want to move him. A balancing act for sure.
Also, please don’t shit on Ryan Hana, as pure and good a Wings fan as you’ll find. They have a great podcast and you should check it out. Winged Wheel, it’s called. If he’s saying inconsistent stuff, it’s not because he’s making it up, it’s because he heard it. That’s pretty NHL if you ask me.

To clarify, my words were not directed at Hana.
Ahh, I get it now!
If this is true, and its being reported in a few places, it could be a couple of things, Raymond injury, pending trade, showcasing him for a trade, we'll see.
Yes, all of this. I think he’s on the block.
