George was, and always will be, one of us. A Wing fan through and through.

Did I always agree with his subtle, and sometimes outright, tendencies to take the side of management and Ken Holland's "team of advisors"? Nope. But George writes with his heart and that's where his heart is. Can't fault him for that.

We, back when I actually did something other than spew a few paragraphs of a live blog every (most) game night, offered an interesting difference in style and views.

Where I prefer no research and pure emotion, George dug and considered. He is logical and methodical.

Where I was too lazy and traumatized after a loss to blog for days at a time, George offered us feedback within minutes. That, to me, is beyond comprehension.

And man did he, does he, work.

He was, and he is, an appreciated member of our Wing family. Good luck to you, GM.
