Report: Curtis Sanford Signs with the Canucks

07/03/2007 at 8:13pm EDT
Curtis Sanford has reportedly signed with the Vancouver Canucks for $600,000, according to Andy Strickland of 1380 ESPN.This would be pretty awesome, no? For one thing, doesn't he have a career record against Vancouver that is something like that of a brick wall? No longer playing against him is a nice bonus.Update 3:30pm PT:TSN confirms,
The Canucks have signed goaltender Curtis Sanford to a one-year deal worth $600,000. Sanford spent the last two seasons with the St. Louis Blues and appeared in 31 games in 2006-07, posting a 8-12-5 record with a 3.18 goals against average.
Sanford:"Who knows how many games I'm going to get in, I know Roberto is a workhorse. He's obviously one of the best, if not the best, in the game right now. Whether it's five or ten games, you know that's 20 points for the Vancouver Canucks. I'm just going to do my part and make sure that when I'm in the net I'm giving the team a chance to win."Welcome to Vancouver, Curtis.
