So, 11-7 tomorrow, eh? It wouldn't matter if we had 10 defensemen of the caliber we have because we'd still be one of the worst defensive teams in the league! Let's move Edvinsson and Johansson in and scratch Petry, Holl, and whoever. It couldn't hurt because those two rookies could use some NHL experience. You can always send them back for the AHL playoffs.

berggren has kind of been a disaster since his callup, no? not sure what they should do.
I wouldnt say disaster but he hasnt been good. I was certainly hoping for better. That first goal last night started with a real lazy play on his part.
It doesn't help the whole team is in disarray during this call up. Adding one more cop to the keystone cops is not going to help. At least until Lar King is back.

not sure i agree. more important, not sure management agrees. they have too many of these euro guys who look so good at 17-18 and then get entitled and nothing happens. its on the team, not the prospects.
He was sent to GR. Nothing entitled there. Was there for most of the season. The team has been in a huge funk. He is not coming out to save the day. My point? Have to wait and see.

I watched the Griffins play the Iowa Wild (and Jesper Wallstedt) on local TV last night. The Griffs won 2-0 with both goals coming in the third period. The three best Wings prospects were Wallinder, Mazur and Kasper.
Marco has a nice little "edge" to his game and he's smooth with the puck. he was criticized early because he had trouble adapting to the pace of play in the AHL. But watching him now, I think he'll be fine as a two-way 2C (or maybe 3C) once he gets to the NHL. But I doubt that will be next year, except for the occassional call-up.
It was unfortunate that Edvinsson was out last night (supposedly returning tonight for the 2nd game of a back-to-back with the Wild). And I was bummed that Cossa didn't play last night (he'll play in tonight's game).
Prospects who just looked so-so were Hanas, Lombardi, Johansson, and Tuomisto. The stars of the game for the Griffs were Aiden Hutchinson, Taro Hirose and (as always) Dominick Shine. Shine plays like Czarnik -- full-out 100% every shift. Personally, I'd rather have either Czarnik or Shine than Copp on the Wings roster.
I am quite amazed how anyone can draw those conclusions. He just got to NA as a young kid and just started to play NA hockey. I think he will be good.
(also I have no idea. Hes 19, who knows? why are people down on him?)
