Wings seemed to be chasing the Oilers the first two periods but were still in the game, only down 3-2 entering the third.
The Oilers scored with around 11 minutes left in the third period to make it 4-2
The Wings did not have many scoring chances and with six minutes left they where being outshot 42-20.
Tyler Betuzzi scored with Bernier pulled to make it 4-3 with 1:26 left and that is how the game ended.
