Well the first period wasn't much from the Wings point of view unless you enjoy watching them in their defensive zone. The highlight from the first period was the Darren Helm tribute video (watch below). After 20 minutes, Colorado lead 2-0.

The Wings looked like a much more determined team in the second period and cut the score to 2-1 with a Zadina goal with about eight minutes left. But the Avs score late in the period and took a 3-1 into the second intermission.

Colorado added an early goal in the third, then with about ten minutes left, the Wings scored to make it 4-2 and an ENG by the Avs ended the scoring.

Colorado wins 5-2
