No scoring in the first period but Detroit looked like the better team.
The Wings scored on the power play midway through the second period but Arizona scored less than three minutes later to tie the game 1-1.
Early in the third, the Wings scored 2 goals in 59 seconds and Detroit fans were breathing a little easier.
Bur... In 1:10 the Coyotes scored twice to tie the game and perhaps make it the next goal wins.
Overtime saw no scoring although both teams had great chances late in OT.
It took the Coyotes 2 shots (2 goals) to win the shootout, Detroit was 0-2.
Detroit goals are below.
I don't want to hear the word 'playoffs' come out of the mouths any Red Wing player or coach. They haven't earned the right.
Sell.
I still have faith in the plan. LGRW.
Credit where credit is due, we did not allow one of the 5th worst teams in the league to truck us by the time the 3rd period started, part of that Derek Lalonde La'Process I guess, unfortunately we just deferred our 1st period routine mess to the midpoint of the 3rd. Looking at the positives, we literally hung on for the last 5 minutes of regulation for a OT point, Go La'Wings!
