Of that group, I'm guessing Luff, Czarnik, Erne, and two of Hagg, Oesterlie & Lindstrom won't be around next year. I hope they keep Chaisson and Suter. And I wouldn't be sad if Veleno and Kubalik were included in a trade (or trades) along with draft picks for viable prospects or better draft picks.
Too soon to give up on Veleno. If you want a deep playoff run, there’s your Kris Draper, or so you hope. Zadina is a way bigger question mark for me. What is he? Tune in next season, I guess? It would suck to see him score 25 in Anaheim or someplace with an elite center. He isn’t bad but he needs exactly that.
Lord, this "Edit" feature is a pain in the ass. I made one edit, and then had to correct the way it displayed three or four times to get it correct.
I agree. Some major tweaks are going to be made on KK as soon as the UFA action is complete. Possibly sooner and I will have a major announcement coming in the next few weeks.
Thanks, Paul. And if it's possible, I'd love to be able to log in once in the morning and stay logged in all day instead of having to re-log in every time I return.
+1
from Kevin Allen of Detroit Hockey Now,
“Ville will be back in tomorrow (against the Pittsburgh Penguins,” Red Wings coach Derek Lalonde said. “He’s been responding fairly well to that lower-body injury.”...
After Lalonde confirmed Husso will play against the Penguins Saturday, he was asked whether Husso would then play two of the team’s last three.
“Pretty much a day to day type of thing,” Lalonde said. “We won’t play him on the back to back, so we’ll figure that out. See how his lower body responds but it’s back to back, those are some issues he’s had in the past.”
The Red Wings are definite about how many more games defenseman Simon Edvinsson will play. He has played seven and he will only play two more because the 10th game would mean the first season of his entry contract would be counted. The Red Wings clearly don’t want that to occur.
“He’ll be in tomorrow and then we’ll see where he gets that last game,” Lalonde said. “It might make sense to give him the home games and go from there.”
