Detroit's roster will need some adjustments soon in the New Year. Vrana, Fabbri and Bertuzzi are all on pace to return in the next 3-4 weeks. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Rasmussen posted two goals and two assists for his first NHL four-point game in Wednesdays 7-4 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Fellow linemates Larkin and David Perron had three points each.
Ive liked it, Detroit coach Derek Lalonde said. Ras is a diverse player, he can play center and wing.
Lalonde said assistant coach Alex Tanguay has been lobbying for the switch.
I think it simplifies his game, Lalonde said. (Rasmussen) can skate more north-south being onthe wing and hes been pretty good there. Fortunately, with the amount of injuries weve had up front all year, its been a luxury those guys who can play both wing and center. Suits going to center the last fewgames has played very well for us, too.
Suits is Pius Suter who slots back into center when Rasmussen is on the wing.

And Zadina won't be far behind those three. So here's where Stevie Y earns his money. If he keeps all three of those listed above (and there are no further injuries), he can easily send Czarnik to GR (since he cleared waivers), but what does he do with Berggren and Soderblom? Do they go to GR or will it be time to start moving bodies out in exchange for draft picks.
Erne is probably the most likely to go (along with Zadina if there are any takers), but what's the return? Or does Fabbri get moved? Veleno? Suter?
One thing I can say for certain is that I'm a hell of a lot more comfortable with Yzerman making these kinds of decisions than I ever was with them being made by Tick Tock.
Berggren has earned NHL ice time a few times over. He needs to stay up. Veleno IS waiver exempt, but I gotta think there's a trade coming well before the TDL.
Zadina is done in Detroit. I think he ends up in GR until his contract expires because I doubt anyone will be interested in a trade.
Berggren and Soderblom have been great, but I think they can go to GR without waivers, so thats what I expect to see.
That gets us down to one more spot, and it feels like Suter is the guy to go. He's versatile, and probably could help somebody....
What I wonder is whether Bert, Vrana or Fabbri will be 100% this season? Bert's the only one who has played, and he definitely has not been himself yet. His contract timing is very unfortunate, so who knows where that stands.....
I want to see what this team can do completely healthy. Having Bertuzzi, Fabbri and Vrana rolling as they were prior to their injuries or whatever should be interesting. I don't not care who stays or goes, just a healthy team.
