Wings/Ducks Live Blog

Six out of a possible eight points is all that is on my mind right now.

Wings win tonight and that is how this Western Conference road swing will end.

Sounds good doesn't it?

Play the same way as last night, energy, grit and take advantage of scoring chances then we can relax for a few days.

These Ducks still want to revenge their playoff loss to the Wings last year but the Wings can put some doubt in their mind again with a win.

Do it boys, two more points in your pocket sure would look good on the plane tonight.

It's a live blog bitches.

Hello to everyone that shows up tonight. Thank you Paul and everyone else that contributes to this and makes games more fun for me to watch.

Just win.

Thanks, Boss.  If anything, the Kings and the refs may have done us a favor.  The clutching and grabbing and the endless I-didn’t-see-it noncalls has made me a bit ornery.  The Duhucks are also on their second of a B2B.

Two points, Wings.  Go and get ‘em.

Thanks for the LB, Paul. I likely won’t be around much. My “penance” for watching 4 NFL playoff games and Wings/Kings this weekend is to watch the Golden Globes with my better half. When I mentioned I’d be watching Wings/Ducks in the bedroom (rather than the Globes with her), she said “How many times a year are the Wings on? And how many time a year are the Golden Globes on? Even though I argue for a living, I did not have a good response to that; perhaps there isn’t one.

Any response I’d come out with would get me exiled to the couch, so I hope you enjoy the Golden Globes.

Greetings 19. Tell the wife that the Wings only play your local team only once a year now. The same as the golden blow fest.

Let’s break their unbeaten streak to add salt to last years playoff win.

I here lots of talk aboot how lucky the Wings are that they’re not still in the West ...

I theorize that the West is looking good this year because they don’t have the Wings to face on a more regular basis.

Thoughts?

I think thanks Gorde we are in the East.  The West is eating East teams alive this year, which is what is padding their point totals, and also helping the Wings stay in the middle of the playoff hunt.

Any other year, I might agree with you. But not so much with this team. Especially if you assume the same flood of injuries. And lets be honest, outside of a couple of very strong teams, the east has sucked pretty bad the past decade.

Interesting stat.  Wings are tied for the best road record in the league and the rest of the teams behind us are Western Conference teams.

Sick of this dump-and-chase offensive game.

The west got the Jets while we went to the east. Not working out too good for them with a fresh coach today. We would only be 3 points out the last spot .
