Truly, and I mean this from my heart, there are few things better than a Wing victory in Denver, in front of Dive "fans".

All I know is what I've read. I know the kid Mrazek saved our asses. I know the Big E remains at the top of my wife's "list" because he landed a few rights to the head of Denver's latest golden boy. I know the man who hates to lose to Detroit more than anyone in the history of losing to Detroit pulled his goalie "Varly" with 2:36 to go only to see Darren Helm shove it down his throat, whore style.

I also know this, as a postscript. I like this team. I've been able to watch, maybe, 1.3 games all year. But I do like it.

I'm hoping Tick Tock, wait for it, stands pat. I'm hoping no moves are made, despite mythical righthanded Dman that may or may not be available at the low, low price of one Mantha or Larkin.

I'm hoping no moves are made because I love to be able to point to this roster and say it's nearly 100 percent Holland-made. Made by the Red Wings, for the Red Wings.

That's kind of selfish, and borderline stupid, to use as a reason not to deal. And it could be me doing something I've learned to do and that's preparing myself for absolutely no deadline improvement. But, teams do not do this. They don't sustain. They don't remain successful without a dip in the middle. Kenny told us we would and we have. Now if he were to land a quality defenseman (or a winger who can score), more power to him. But if the Wings were to win without wantonly wasting the farm? Even frigging better.

So this is kinda my monthly hello to the 19. I like this team, and I really, really love knowing Denver "fans" are sad tonight. Alllll those draft picks. So much hope after such a nice season last year. Allllll that talent.
