VEGAS (June 28, 2023) - Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced today, June 28, that the team has acquired a third-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for forward Reilly Smith . The third-round pick, which originally belonged to Vegas, was acquired by Pittsburgh in March in exchange for forward Teddy Blueger.
Smith appeared in 399 games with Vegas during the regular season since being selected in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft. The forward also played in each of the franchise's 88 contests during the Stanley Cup Playoffs, helping the Golden Knights win the 2023 Stanley Cup. Prior to his six seasons spent in Vegas, Smith played with the Florida Panthers, Boston Bruins and Dallas Stars.
