I'll be pissed if I don't get a Vegas/Col WCF. Rasmus Andersson is the guy we want anyway. The deadline is for closers. That ain't us and Captain won't overpay for rentals.

Interesting what is the return for the best available dman in the market

weird how only Vegas seems to know how to circumvent the cap. why arent other teams this aggressive? why doesnt the league step in? isnt it odd how its usually only the guys they have signed to long term deals end up on LTIR?

Blackhawks did it in 2015 with Kane & Lightning in 2021 with Kucherov

via the Calgary Flames,

The Flames announced today that they have acquired a conditional first-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, a conditional third-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft and defenceman Daniil Miromanov from Vegas in exchange for Noah Hanifin in a three-way deal involving Philadelphia. Calgary will retain fifty percent of Noah Hanifins salary.

It was extremely important to us to ensure this deal featured a first-round draft pick, and a third-round pick that has the potential to become a second-round selection, said Flames general manager Craig Conroy. Additionally, we have been tracking Daniil the past couple of seasons and we are pleased to have been able to ensure he was a part of this trade. He has good size at 64 with good skating ability and speed. He commands a heavy shot, makes quick plays and we are excited about his offensive upside. At the AHL level he has been dominant in creating offence as a defenceman and we anticipate that to translate to the NHL.

Miromanov, a native of Moscow, Russia, has played in four games with the Vegas Golden Knights so far this season, as well as five games for the AHLs Henderson Silver Knights, where he has scored one goal and five assists for six points. The 26-year-old has 29 NHL games of experience with two goals and five assists for seven points in his career. The right-shot blueliner represented the Henderson Silver Knights at the 2023 AHL All-Star Classic and was a free agent signing by Vegas on March 16th, 2021.
