Vancouver Canucks Senior Vice-President and General Manager Dave Nonis announced today that the Canucks have signed defenceman Kevin Bieksa to a three year extension beginning in 2008-09 through 2010-11.There might be some minor confusion about the time frame, since the Canucks own website also released this story stating that Bieksa is only under contract till 2010.Anyway, it would appear that no player that the Vancouver Canucks wish to keep around long term will ever be going to RFA or FA again.("A very good plan!" insists Sabres' GM Darcy Regier...)Update: "...CKNW in Vancouver is reporting the deal is worth $11.25 Million."
