When I was talking to NHL agent Jiri Crha today (August 1) about the Canucks signing of Jozef Balej, he tossed out a small bit of information that got my attention. Jan Bulis fired him as his agent. "I want to tell you one thing, Jan fired me as an agent. He said to me: 'I want nothing to do with you anymore,'" Crha told me. Now, Bulis can be rash and stubborn — by his own admission — but this move really surprised me, as well as Crha. I've had plenty of open discussions with Bulis and he has long considered Crha a trusted friend as well as his agent. These two were tight for a long time.
