Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
Griffins lost to the Ice Hogs 2 to nothing.
Cossa played well considering he wasn't expecting to start. But the majority of the Griffins looked like the Wings did duing their big losing streak. They made really bad decisions with the puck. They lost almost every puck battle. And they were disorganized from beginning to end.
Berggren did not look like an NHL player tonight. And while Kasper plays with an edge, he wasn't good with the puck. Only Lombardi had a decent game (with a slight nod to Wallinder and Tuomisto). If they play like they did tonight in the playoffs, they won't be around long.
To be fair, though, the refs let Rockford get away with some of the most flagrant fouls I've ever seen.
Husso might have heard from his agent, you cant buy out an injured player. Can you? I think no.
You would put them on LTIR and let the contract expire.
It's actually more advantageous.NEVERMIND I FORGOT WE HAVE CHEAP ILITCH AS AN OWNER FOR A SECOND--he'll never spend to the cap to use LTIR.Create an Account
