Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
ESPN crew tonight.

At least we don't have to hear Biz and Boucher.
Seider not skating is a scary development if he is in danger of missing the game
League leader in blocked shots. Its a temporary way to keep pucks away from the goalie but its got to have an effect on the physical health of the impactee.
Incidentally, among forwards the NYR have 3 of the top 10 shot blockers. Rasmussen is in the top 10.
Probably full from eating all those pucks.
ugh. something been running through the locker room.
A couple of weeks ago the Pens had as many as three games in hand on the other WC hopefuls, so theyve had a busy period as well as a great run of points.
Max points for Buffalo and NJD is 87. Four of the five that are within two points are in action tonight.
Feels like every game is the biggest of the season, but this is definitely the biggest game of the season (as of today). Seider missing it or not being at his normal strength is going to be bad.
Need our best players to be excellent and our not-best players to play as good as possible.
I thought the gig was:
Kane-Larkin-Raymond
DeBrincat-Compher-Perron
