The Detroit Red Wings locked in there spot heading into Tuesday's important NHL draft lottery.
A 7-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres in which they were booed by the Little Caesars Arena faithful helped the Wings clinch the fourth spot, as they were bypassed in the standings by the Sabres.
In the fourth slot, the Wings have a 9.5% chance at winning the No. 1 pick, and a 28.8% chance at picking in the top 3.
