Pretty evenly played first period but until the Rangers scored with 29 seconds left in the first. Rangers lead 2-1 after 20 minutes.
Wings actually had their first lead of the game at 3-2 in the second, but the NYR quickly tied it 3-3.
The teams started the third tied 3-3 and the only goal in the period was from the Rangers who win 4-3.

the defensive mistakes this team has been making all seasonat a certain point, its coaching. its cost them far too many games; unacceptable.
The Wings are still it. The shame of tonight is the Wings really had this game in hand if it werent for the bonehead moves.
I agree. It's like they do not know how to handle success. After that beautiful Larkin goal, they went totally flat and gave up a quick goal.
Kane seemed to have his worst game of the season. Silly passes and many missed opportunities.
Raymond played physical and took it. Loved that. Fabbri standing up on that shit hit. Beautiful.
Alex Lyon kept the gane from being 10-3. Wow, he played well.

I love standing up for you teammates when it's game 10 of the season, not when it's a must win game 76 and we are playing against top 5 PP in the league.
Why? Just because Fabbri got screwed by the officials does not make what he did wrong. It did not hurt the Wings. Raymond got much worse from the Rags.
I missed the game, but sounds like they were in it. NYR is a good team. Wings as we know just not there. Again, Yzerman has work to do.
It did not feel like Rangers did much to win this one, we lost it ourselves starting with Perron
I agree completely. Not a bad effort, just too many bad mistakes by different players.
Perron might be the captain of dumb penalties at the wrong time lately. He's got great compete and really good skill, but he's also got the hockey IQ of Brendan Smith.

Playing good is 500? Hmmm, mediocrity is not a good direction. But they need a new roster.
Maybe do not re-sign vets? Then buyout Fabbri and Petry or Holl?
