The Wings were down 3-0 after forty minutes and not much to say except Detroit's power play was abysmal going 0 for 3 including a 5-3 power play for over 1:40.

Alex Nedeljkovic replaced Thomas Greiss (who may have not been feeling well after a collision) at the start of the third period and the Islanders scored early to make it 4-0.

Detroit scored and less than a minute later the Islanders added another goal to make it 5-1.

The Wings scored with less than five minutes to play and it's 5-2 and that is how the game ended.

A very sloppy game by the Wings.
