The first two periods were pretty evenly played and the 2-2 score reflected that.
An entertaining game after 40 with a few scrums breaking out but no fighting majors handed out.
The third period had Columbus score twice before Detroit scored with 4:25 left in the period to make it 4-3.
Then 58 seconds later, the Wings tied the game. No more scoring in the third so off to OT with th Wings shorthanded for :48 seonds.
