The Wings came out on a mission in the first period and lead 2-0.
The Wings scored early in period two but the Flyers scored the next two goals to make it 3-2. A late goal by Detroit made it 4-2 heading into the third period.
With 8 1/2 minutes left in the third, Philadelhia scored to make it a one goal game.
The Wings added two empty net goals to make it 6-3.
