-- Carolina trails all-time, 27-34-9-1 (71), including 19-14-2 (35) at home and 8-20-7-1 (36) on the road.
-- The clubs will meet three times in the 2014-15 season: at CAR: Dec. 7 (DET 3-1) and Apr. 11; and at DET. Apr. 7.
-- The teams met three times in 2013-14; Detroit won the season series 2-1-0; Carolina posted a 1-0-1 record in those games.
-- Since the team’s relocation, the Hurricanes have won one regular-season game at Joe Louis Arena (4/11/14). Before that, their last regular-season win in Detroit came on Nov. 14, 1989, a 3-0 shutout victory. In the 18 regular-season games since, the Carolina franchise has lost one game in overtime (2/14/01, 4-3) and tied one game (1/31/04, 4-4).
