Abel to Yzerman

It's Hard To Wait

I lived through the "Dead Wings' era and reflecting on that period, I was one frustrated hockey fan.

I saw no light at the end of the tunnel due to who was in charge of the team.

This time, I have of course matured and have trust in GM Steve Yzerman and the decisions he is and will be making.

This season in my opinion is 'let's see what we have' and go from there.

Sure there will be mistakes made in evaluating the current talent both on the Wings and the Grand Rapids Griffins but hopefully they will be kept to a minimum.

We have another five months of this, then I expect Yzerman to get active and really start improving the on-ice talent for Detroit.

Painful now, certainly, but let's look forward and have faith in Steve Yzerman.

About Abel to Yzerman

Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
