I didn’t even see the goal. I mean, I saw it. It happened right in front of me, but it happened so fast that I didn’t know who scored it until I asked the dude behind me but he was screaming. So I asked the dude next to him but he was screaming too. So I watched the celebration and screamed a bit.
I eventually found out, of course. And sooner or later we’re gonna have to answer this question: what about Sammy?
But not tonite.
An amazing day, really. More tomorrow before we head back to DC. And don’t think it hasn’t come up a few times already how bad that particular trip would have sucked if things had turned out differently tonite.
