Welcome to Abel to Yzerman, a Red Wing blog since 1977. No other site on the internet has better-researched, fact-laden and better prepared discussions than A2Y. Re-phrase: we do little research, find facts and stats highly overrated and claim little to no preparation. There are 19 readers of A2Y. No more, no less. All of them, except maybe one, are juvenile in nature. Reminding them of that in the comment section will only encourage them to prove that.
Coach tells the media Lyon starts, Copp will take warmups.
Lalonde says Copp still has swelling on the cheek bone.
Coach also said Walman dealing with lbi but is skating.
On Feb 28 the Wings were in the WC1, 2 points behind the Maple Leafs, and 3 points ahead of the TB Lightning with a game in hand.
Today they need a minimum of 3 points to have a chance at the WC2.
Still so many variables. NYI could still miss out, Philly cant be eliminated tonight. Detroit can be eliminated tonight with a loss in regulation.
what?
DETROIT - Lane Hutson will make his NHL debut when the Canadiens take on the Detroit Red Wings at Little Caesars Arena on Monday.
"I feel good. Im just really excited. The guys here have been great and I'm just ready to get going, Hutson said following morning skate. Its pretty surreal, honestly. Just being here and being with this group is really cool and Im just really excited.
Hutson follows Cole Caufield (2021), Jordan Harris (2022) and Sean Farrell (2023) as the fourth Hab in the last four seasons to sign out of college and make their NHL debut that same year.
continue for lines and more...
Turns out, Hutson is from Holland, MI so he's going to be shelling out for some tickets tonight. Let's hope he scores the Habs only goal and he makes a great play to keep the final score to just 7-1. :-)
