I bombed the CFs; none of my picks won.

Going with TBL in seven games.

3 for 8 in Round 0.
7 for 8 in Round 1.
3 for 4 in Round 2.

TBL (6) — Ding ding ding!
DAL (7) — Ding!

2 for 2 in Round 3.

1-1 in third round, 9-5 so far.

Lightning in 6.

Stamkos makes it back in game 6 to play 3 shifts.  He received the Cup and hands it to Shattenkirk, and we watch the most depressing Stanley Cup celebration in history.

I had Tampa and Vegas as a lock with Tampa winning it.

I’m going to buck the trend and go with Dallas.  Normally I’d say the team that can put the best player out for 30+ being Hedman wins, but Dallas has just proven to grind teams into submission.

The size matchup favors Dallas both offense and defense over speed,  Vasilevskiy despite the stellar GAA looked a bit beatable last few games not knowing were his rebounds were going, and I think the stars can get to those whereas Islanders could not, and the big key is that I don’t think Bryden Point is healthy to be the player he was in the 1st two rounds, and he’s the key to the series.

3-5 in round 1
3-1 in round 2
*cough* in round 3
6-8 overall

Bolts in 6. Not expecting a lot of goals in this one, so the netminders will be a massive factor, and Vasilevski has more seasoning than Khudobin. Bit of a pick-em, really.

I have been enamored with Dallas these whole playoffs (even though deep down I don’t like them) i might as well stick with them.

I think TB has higher end talent but.Dallas seems hungry with some very good coaching beyond them.

Honestly I do not care who wins as long as it is a long hard fought battle. 7 games would be great!

That’s the ticket, dog. Take it to the limit. In my wildest dreams I never imagined watching the SCF in September. I’m grateful to see y’all hanging in there.  wink

Stars in 5. I had Dallas and NYI in the conference finals. Tampa’s lack of competent coaching will show up in this series.

I think if the Stars do win it, it’ll be because they wear the Bolts down in a war of attrition (which has been the specialty of Dallas this post-season) and it’ll be a longer series.  But my pick is Tampa.
