Former Ballwin resident Torre Tyson thought that he and his son, Tagger, would have lots of leg room in the bleachers at the Carolina Ice Palace on Sunday when they showed up for the Blues’ practice.
The club is spending four days in Charleston this week as part of a team-building retreat.
“I thought we’d be the only ones here,” said Tyson, 37, who moved to the area three years ago and was proudly wearing his Bluenote hat Sunday. “I know they have been selling some memorabilia the last two days here, but it’s funny to see all of these people come out of the woodwork in Charleston.”
The Blues hit the ice Sunday morning to an impromptu applause from a hundred or so fans who filled up most of the bleachers.
