I would expect a suspension to follow.

Do you mind clarifying?

It looks like he gets punched in the knee (unnecessarily) by the Wild player. I don’t think it is suspension worthy, but it seems intentional to me.

Marcus Foligno, the Wild player involved, on the play.

The refs came into this one with the intention of calling everything - that first period was painful to watch for anyone who’s a fan of playoff hockey. I assume they chose this trade-off bc they didn’t want things to get out of hand, didn’t want anyone to get injured.

So, an intentional punch to the back of the leg resulting in an injury should be high priority for the NHL to enforce…even if Folingo totally no joke ‘hopes that he’s ok’.

I’m not sure how you can watch that clip and not see the punch. I tried to post something this morning but got logged back off. That has to be intent to injure and of it’s an acl like it looks, Foligno should get a very heavy verdict. Like more than 2 minutes, which I’m sure this joke of NHL enforcement will not do. Foligno shouldn’t be allowed on the ice this series. That’s a sucker punch even if it’s not to the head.
