from Curtis Pashelka of the Mercury News,
Logan Couture was asked straight up: After three straight losses, two decisively, what gives the Sharks hope like they can still win this series against the Vegas Golden Knights?
“We’re still playing. We’ve got a chance,” Couture said. “It’s never over until it’s over. We need to go home, where we’ve been good all year, played two good games to start this series at home, and try and win a game, and that’s that.”
There was a lot to like about the way the Sharks played in the first two periods Tuesday night in Game 4. But goalie Marc-Andre Fleury made 28 saves for his 15th career postseason shutout and the Sharks didn’t get enough saves at the other end in a 5-0 loss at T-Mobile Arena.
Game 5 is Thursday at SAP Center in San Jose, and between now and then, the Sharks have to find a way to put a complete game together, or their once promising season that started with talk of a Stanley Cup will be over.
“For us it’s our starts. It’s very important. We haven’t played with the lead much. When we have, we’ve played well,” Sharks captain Joe Pavelski said.
