The Dallas Stars scored four unanswered goals, including three in the third period to defeat the Nashville Predators 4-2 at the 2020 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic in front of a crowd of 85,630 at Cotton Bowl Stadium on Wednesday.
Mattias Janmark, Alexander Radulov and Andrej Sekera scored in the first 6:35 of the third after Blake Comeau scored with 1:08 remaining in the second period.
Ben Bishop made 31 saves for the Stars (23-14-4), who have won three games in a row, all with third-period comebacks. They scored four unanswered goals in the third period to defeat the Arizona Coyotes 4-2 on Sunday. Dallas leads the NHL with seven wins in games it has trailed after two periods.
Matt Duchene and Dante Fabbro scored, and Pekka Rinne made 31 saves for the Predators (18-15-6), who lost their third straight game. Roman Josi had two assists, extending his point streak to eight games (seven goals, eight assists).
The Winter Classic, the first outdoor game for Dallas and Nashville, was the second most attended NHL game in history behind the 2014 Winter Classic at Michigan Stadium (105,491).
The temperature at puck drop was 54.9 degrees Fahrenheit.
