Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News answers questions from the fans,
Question: Depending on how they handle the remaining games, do you feel Jim Nill failed the Stars by not trading for secondary scoring in February or did the Stars fail Nill by not winning when he believed in them.
Mike Heika: Probably both. The price of getting players like Patrick Maroon and Michael Grabner at the trade deadline were pretty reasonable, and it seems like either or both could have helped the Stars down the stretch. Then, the fact the Stars did not read Martin Hanzal's injury well looks really bad in retrospect. They could have shut down Hanzal before the trade deadline, taken his remaining cap space, and put it to use. All of that said, Nill put his faith in the players, and they did not step up. If the Stars miss the playoffs, there will be a lot of hard questions at every level of the organization.
