* Overall, the Blackhawks improved to 53-41-2 in 96 all-time playoff overtime games (3-0 this year). That includes a 6-3-1 record in contests that have required three overtime periods.

* Per Elias, the Blackhawks won two games in a single postseason that required at least three overtime periods for the first time in franchise history. The last team to accomplish that feat was the Ducks, who also won two such games during the 2003 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

* Kruger recorded his second career game-winning goal in the playoffs (also May 9, 2013 vs. MIN) and first in overtime. He has 6-6—12 in 65 career postseason outings, including 2-0—2 this year (12 GP).

* “It’s a great feeling,” said Kruger, a 24-year-old Stockholm, Sweden, native who was selected by the Blackhawks in the fifth round (149th overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft. “We almost played two games out there. To put it in and get a big win here, leaving California 1-1, we’re pretty satisfied. Going back to Chicago, it’s going to be a great feeling stepping out there on the United Center ice.”

* Corey Crawford made a career-high 60 saves, including 38 straight over the final 79:42 of playing time. He improved to 6-2 in nine appearances this postseason (2.32 GAA, .925 SV%, 1 SO).

* Via Elias, Crawford’s 60 saves were the most by any Blackhawks goaltender in a playoff game during the League’s expansion era (since 1967-68).

* Crawford also improved to 13-9 in 22 career postseason overtime games (all w/ CHI), the most such wins among any active goaltender. Elias adds that is the fifth-most playoff overtime victories for one team in NHL history, behind Patrick Roy (23 w/ MTL and 17 w/ COL), Martin Brodeur (16 w/ NJD) and Billy Smith (16 w/ NYI).

* Andrew Shaw and Marian Hossa each scored their second goals of the postseason, converting on the power play at 2:14 and 6:19 of the first period, respectively. The Blackhawks are 4-for-11 (36.4%) on the power play over the past four games after beginning the playoffs 3-for-22 (13.6%) with the man-advantage over their first eight contests.

* Duncan Keith, who led all players with 49:51 of ice-time, collected one assist – he paces all defensemen with nine assists and 11 points this postseason (12 GP). Keith also leads all skaters with 384:32 of total minutes and 32:02 of average time on ice.

* The Blackhawks handed the Ducks their first home loss of the playoffs (6-1) – they now are the only team that has yet to lose on home ice this postseason (5-0).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: TRIPLE-OVERTIME
At 116:12, the Blackhawks played the longest game in franchise history, eclipsing the previous mark of 113:50 set on April 9, 1931 at MTL (3-2 W in Game 3 of F).

The longest game in Ducks history stands at 140:48, played on April 24, 2003 at DAL (4-3 W in Game 1 of CSF) – that also is the fourth-longest game in Stanley Cup Playoffs history.

While this was the longest game of the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs, it does not even crack the top 10 in NHL history. The longest such contest was played on March 24, 1936, when Red Wings forward Mud Bruneteau scored at 176:30 (6OT) to lead the club to a 1-0 victory at Mtl. M. (Game 1 of SF).

EASTERN CONFERENCE FINAL HEADS TO TAMPA
Even at 1-1, the Eastern Conference Final heads to Tampa for Game 3 between the Lightning and Rangers. The Lightning paced the NHL and set club marks with 32 home wins and 65 home points during the regular season. That included a franchise-record 10-game home winning streak from Dec. 11 – Jan. 31, the longest such run by any club this season. The Rangers led the NHL and set franchise records for road wins (28) and points (58) during the regular season – only the 2005-06 Red Wings have won more games as visitors in one campaign (31-7-3). So far this postseason, the Lightning are 4-3 at home (outscoring opponents 17-16), while the Rangers are 3-2 on the road (outscoring opponents 9-8).
