FLYERS, SHARKS TRY TO REVERSE FORTUNES ON NBCSN
The Flyers and Sharks will try to halt their respective skids when they meet at SAP Center in a national telecast on NBCSN. Philadelphia enters the contest with one win in its past nine outings (1-7-1), while San Jose has dropped five of its last seven games (2-3-2). This marks the first of two meetings between these clubs in 2014-15 (also March 28 at PHI); the Sharks are 12-1-2 in their last 15 matchups dating to Jan. 2, 2002, but dropped their most recent contest in San Jose (5-2 on Feb. 3, 2014). This game features two of the top scorers in the NHL: Flyers forward Jakub Voracek ranks second in the League with 9-23—32 in 23 GP, while Sharks blueliner Brent Burns is tied for fourth among defensemen with 7-12—19 in 25 GP.
