How were you? [Reporter: Same.] OK. [Reporter: Did you think it was the right call?] Yeah, that’s why I was hollering at ‘em. I was telling ‘em it was a great call. [Reporter: What was your interpretation of the play?] The guy’s falling down, and Brady makes contact, so his head’s right down around your knees… so what’s your interpretation of it? Probably the same as mine. Don’t talk about it anymore. If they can’t make better calls than that, then-
The Kings lost to the Blues 2-1 in a shootout.

@teldar - I don’t think you can ask a player in Mcnabbs position not to make that hit. What is he supposed to do? Not make a hockey play just in case the opposing player gets slashed from behind or interfered with? The penalty there is on Lucic. Asking a player to stop a hit in mid stride is pretty much impossible especially at the speed of the game.

In no way did McNabb leave his feet to make a hit, and he was already in the process of making the hip check before Lucic crosschecked Paajarvi to the ice. It should be Lucic with 4 minutes for a slash and a crosscheck.
The NHL is incapable of doing the right thing in any situation, on or off the ice.

I don’t have a problem with the major and ejection. A guy just got slashed and pushed and falls and while he’s falling to the ice, another player maybe leaves his feet to make a hit along the boards. It’s not a targeted hit to the head, but i think the refs thought he was leaving his feet to make a hit. I’m not sure he left his feet, but it was definitely an unnecessary hit into the boards to a defenceless player.
