from TSN,

Phil Kessel’s future in Toronto is expected to be secured on Tuesday.

TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reports that a contract extension between Kessel and the Toronto Maple Leafs should be completed Tuesday.

The deal is believed to be an eight-year deal worth approximately $8 million per season and is believed to include a limited no-trade clause.

Dreger stressed that while the deal is not actually completed or signed at present, an announcement is expected Tuesday.
