LA Kings Have A Day Of Festivities Tomorrow

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings, the 2012 Stanley Cup Champions, will open their 2012-13 regular season schedule tomorrow, Saturday, at Noon against the Chicago Blackhawks on NBC. The Kings will raise their Championship Banner to the rafters at STAPLES Center, Kings players will receive their championship rings on the ice and the Stanley Cup will be on the ice as part of pre-game festivities.

-- Championship Saturday begins at 9:30 a.m. with a special Pre-Game Fan Fest presented by Bud Light outside STAPLES Center. The event will feature Street Hockey, Puck Shoot and Shot on Goal, Vendor Village, Merchandise Tent, Face Painting and Tattoo Artist, as well prizes from Bailey and the Ice Crew and more.

-- LA Kings Holiday Ice at LA LIVE will be open at 11 a.m. for skating. The Stanley Cup will be located at center ice from 9:30-10 a.m.

-- Kings alumni members Marcel Dionne and Daryl Evans will be signing autographs at the Toyota display on Chick Hearn Court from 10:15-11:15 a.m. Rogie Vachon will also be apart of Opening Day festivities.

-- FOX Sports West will broadcast their live pre-game show from 11:30 a.m. – Noon.

-- The Stanley Cup will be marched from the ice rink at LA LIVE into STAPLES Center beginning at approximately 10:30 a.m..

The on-ice ceremony – hosted by Bob Miller -- will be broadcast live in its entirety on NBC beginning at Noon. The game on the radio will be broadcast on KTLK AM 1150 and along the Kings Radio Network.
