On Feb. 22, as part of Try Hockey for Free Day presented by SportsEngine, USA Hockey will stage its second national Try Hockey for Free Day of the season, providing kids who have never had a chance to try the sport to do so without cost. Started in 2008 by USA Hockey, Hockey Week Across America is an effort to celebrate the game and those involved at all levels, while introducing the sport to new audiences.
NBC Sports kicks off Hockey Week Across America on Sunday (Feb. 16) with its Hockey Day in America coverage that includes nine-plus hours of hockey coverage on NBC and NBC Sports Network.

Throughout the week, USA Hockey will collaborate with American-based NHL clubs to host “Meet the NHL Officials” program. A total of 40 young officials will attend 20 NHL games and have the opportunity.
