Grabovski Cleared Of Biting Incident

NEW YORK (February 11, 2013) – Following a telephone hearing conducted this morning, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety has decided not to assess Supplemental Discipline to Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mikhail Grabovski for an incident that occurred during NHL Game No. 160 Saturday night in Montreal.

After interviewing both players involved in the incident and reviewing all of the available video and medical reports, the League could not determine conclusively that Grabovski bit Montreal Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty.

The Department of Player Safety has concluded that there was not sufficient evidence to support imposing Supplemental Discipline

When’s Pacioretty’s hearing in which they tell him not to grab another player’s face from behind and stick motherf*cking fingers in his mouth?

Agree Garth. I think biting is not something nhl players should do… However why the hell will you shove your fingers/hand/forearm into the other players mouth.  If you don’t want to get bit don’t shove body parts into other guys mouths.

yeah, I totally agree with you guys. If someone is smothering your face from behind the instinct is going to be to do what is necessary to breath and stay alive. Pretty much everyone would eventually bite down in that situation. Definitely didn’t deserve a suspension.

I couldn’t agree more. Dangerous move, keep those body parts out!
