from Tom Gulitti of The Record,
"I haven't scored in 10 games, so it's maybe not that surprising," Brunner said. "I think I've just got to work harder. That's just a standard quote, but I have to start moving better, support the puck better, maybe make some plays. But I think the main part is to stay positive here."
Mattias Tedenby, who had been a healthy scratch the three previous games, took Brunner's spot in the lineup. Brunner has seen his ice time slip as he's struggled to produce.
He played only 12:48 in the Devils' 4-3 overtime victory in Anaheim on Wednesday night, in which they rallied from a 3-2 deficit with Jaromir Jagr's tying goal with 1:01 left in regulation and Travis Zajac's winner 1:58 into overtime.
Brunner did not get on the ice in overtime and played just 3:34 in the third period.
"Some guys have to get on the board offensively because the other parts of their game aren't as strong," Devils coach Pete DeBoer said. "He's an offensive player. He has to be producing offense."
