GLENDALE, ARIZONA - Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have acquired goaltender Scott Wedgewood from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a fifth-round draft choice in 2018 (originally Calgary's).
The 25-year-old Wedgewood is 1-0-0 with a 1.00 goals against average (GAA) and a .973 save percentage (SV%) with the Binghamton Devils (AHL) this season. He owns a 51-36-9 record with a 2.35 GAA, a .908 SV% and eight shutouts in 110 career AHL appearances.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound native of Brampton, ON has registered a 2-1-1 record with a 1.25 GAA and a .957 SV% in four career NHL games with the Devils.
