Afternoon Line- Allan Walsh, Agent For Max Pacioretty

added 12:54pm, Walsh again...

Obvious these “sources” are coming from the club.  Max will always take the high road and repeats again, he is ready to sign an extension with Montreal TODAY.  It was Montreal that traded Max to LA at the draft and it was a DONE DEAL subject to Max signing an extension with LA.

Pacioretty would be a great buy-low opportunity for any team.

Looks like Walsh is ramping up the pressure on the Habs.

Thank goodness for the dysfunctional Have & Senators organizations, because it keeps the spotlight off of “other” teams going through a rebuild.

Also, just asking, but if the current GM of the Habs wasn’t a Francophone, would he not have been fired months ago, or possibly never hired??????

Haha, probably never hired.

MTL is such a mess.  They really are more embarassing than Ottawa, because the talent was there but they continue to find a bunch of ways to just screw everything up.

I don’t understand why Max would want to go back there.  Maybe that’s his only option.

- Pacioretty didn’t want $6M x 6 years from LA.

- Pacioretty says that the Habs have not come to him with an offer.

- You have to believe that Pacioretty and his agents have (at a minimum) told Habs management what they are looking for in dollars and term.

I have to wonder… how much Pacioretty is asking for?  It sounds like he is looking for something bigger(!) than the awful deals signed by Erikkson, Ladd, Lucic, Backes, Brouwer.

To me it sounds like he wants to stay in Montreal, but they don’t want to keep him.

As a Montrealer and a Habs fan who has had enough after the last quarter century of BS I’m very much enjoying watching Walsh hold their feet to the fire.
