from Steve Simmons of the Toronto Sun,
- Please explain this: NHL general managers met on Tuesday and come up with some game-changing ideas. But the meeting concluded before they reached any kind of consensus. Instead of waiting until March to meet again, why don't they continue their meeting the following day and see if something important can be accomplished?
- Is it possible we were all wrong on Dallas Eakins? The Leafs came close to hiring him instead of bringing in Randy Carlyle. But Eakins' Edmonton Oilers appear clueless: Some of that has to be the coach's responsibility, doesn't it?
- The Pittsburgh Penguins have Crosby and Evgeni Malkin at centre and they've been having troubles scoring goals this season. This team, for all its talent, for its place in the standings, doesn't look right to me.
