Game highlights are below.

Paul

from Michael Russo and Joe Smith of The Athletic,

This game was absolutely nuts.

Improbable.

The Minnesota Wild, down 5-2 late in the second, somehow rallied for a 10-7 victory over the Vancouver Canucks at Xcel Energy Center. The game featured three hat tricks, a Wild-record 17 combined goals and a franchise-record 10 by Minnesota. And with the win, Minnesota has won eight of its last 11, bringing them to within two points of the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference.

The Wild had three five-on-three power-play goals (with four five-on-three opportunities overall).

Minnesota scored six goals over a stretch of 5:45, including five in the first 5:12 of the third period, four of which were on the power play.

The 17 combined goals by both teams were the most ever in a Wild game.

Joel Eriksson Ek racked up his second career hat trick to give him a career-high 28 goals on the season.

Kirill Kaprizov had a hat trick and six points.

The Canucks were a league-best 28-6-2 when scoring the first goal entering the game.

Vancouver is the first team in the NHL this season with three 25-plus goal scorers as J.T. Miller racked up a hat trick to give him 27, joining Elias Pettersson (28) and Brock Boeser (30).
