This site has been my favorite daily visit for hockey news for over 17 years! For once, I am getting to share something substantial back with the hockey community.
My team and I made a movie called The Late Game about one night at a beer league hockey game—now available for rent on Prime Video. It's a feel-good comedy (with beer league language) that should be relatable for anyone who has played and enjoyable for others as well.
Our team supremely appreciates all rentals, ratings, reviews, shares, etc. Hope you guys enjoy the film, and I look forward to your feedback. Canadian distribution coming soon.
We're also working on some in-person screenings with panels. Denver, LA, and Boston are in process of being scheduled, and Detroit is high on the list.

“The Late Game” now available to stream in the United States
“The Late Game,” a feature-length beer league hockey movie written and directed by Jeff Tyner, produced by Jeffrey M. Zucker, and starring Alec Reush, is now available for digital rentals in the United States at TheLateGame.com.
“The Late Game” also features Brian McGonagle, aka RA, co-host of the wildly popular hockey podcast Spittin Chiclets, and Zac Bell of Always Hockey fame.
The movie has already been reviewed as the “the most relatable content you have ever seen in your life,” if you’ve played beer league hockey. And “life joyously playing out before us.”
“The Late Game” tells the story of Riley, a down-on-his-luck, new-to-town beer leaguer who subs and joins Polly’s Pies for an 11 pm game against the league powerhouse Young Genos.
Crafted for beer leaguers by beer leaguers, it’s the first movie ever made for the largest demographic of hockey players – at the end of the day, nearly everyone who’s ever played hockey ends up in beer league.

As a former beer leaguer I can definitely relate. Legs still feeling like you are skating in the bed at 3 oclock and a 7 oclock wake up for work. I dont know why I should, but I do miss it.
